Unc's Arte Haus

Project Summary

McDonald’s wanted to create a space where the culinary world, culture, and creativity meet, all in service of creating meaningful engagement with cultural tastemakers. The goal was to activate at Art Basel as a platform to get fans tasting and talking – converting cultural connections into restaurant traffic.

Background

Our Character for the re-release of the Snack Wrap, Unc, made waves in the McDonald's fandom community. We brought Unc (played by Hassan Johnson) to the real world and made his basement from our film work an interactive hub for food, art, music, and culture.

Execution

Welcome to Unc’s Arte Haus, a haus where culture thrives, rooted in love, legacy, and a little bit of sauce. Collecting arte was never just about what hangs on the wall. It’s about the stories living inside each piece. This Haus holds work from over 30 incredible artists, each bringing their own voice and heartbeat. The Arte Haus ain’t just about the arte you see, it’s about the experiences you step into. Every room is curated with intention, from Unc's Haus to yours.

Extending the Campaign

Throughout the weekend, we hosted comedy performances, art auctions, music performances, and celebrity chef collabs with McDonald's menu staples – all inside Unc's Haus.
